FAQs

Why are my job ads not working?

Probably because you’re posting job descriptions rather than job adverts.

Not doing that is the starting point in crafting job content more people will want to read .

Isn’t it easier to get Chat GPT to write my job ads?

Yes, definitely.

But much would depend how good the advert needs to be to attract the right types of candidates. If it needs to look like all the other job posts, Chat GPT works just fine.

Plus, you should aim higher than repeating what everyone else (including Chat GPT) is doing. One day it will stand you in good stead, if only because you’ll know how to prompt AI properly.

Plus, writing and being creative should be the fun part of being a recruiter.

Do I need a certain amount of recruitment experience?

It makes no difference if you have 6 months or 6 years experience.

In fact, recruiters with less experience usually have fewer bad habits to unpack.

Do I need to already be a good writer?

No, but you do need to be unafraid of the process of writing.

Will this Taster Course help me become more creative?

No. But if you go on to do our Standard Course, yes.

But only once you’ve mastered structure, style and tone of voice. If you want to become an effective copywriter capable of producing blogs, articles, emails and even ad campaigns, the Standard Course would be the start of that journey.

I completed the Copywriting for Recruiters course a while back. It was a game changer – a 750% increase in hires made through direct applications between 2021 and 2022.

The course made me realise how little I actually knew and how much I still have to learn. It was a daunting feeling, but their expertise has been invaluable in helping me to think about copywriting in a newer, more professional way.

Insightful, with great real-life examples. It should be called Copywriting for Dummies because everyone will understand how to boost your advert replies! And applications from decent candidates, not random profiles.

After completing the course I’m more bullish about my job ad copywriting skills. Another benefit is the copywriting formula transfers so well to my LI invitations and EM/IM pitch content. For some reason I compartmentalized job ads and direct candidate pitches as if they were two entirely different content types.

I think that I am going to find this useful, but probably not just for writing adverts. Thank you very much.

It combines the underlying theory with some great real-world examples and anybody involved in sourcing candidates should do this course.

I went into this hoping to tighten up my writing a bit; I don’t think I was expecting the course to completely upend everything I thought I knew about how to craft a compelling piece of recruitment marketing. Great format and enjoyable too.

Loved this training! Have been waiting for Mitch to come to South Africa for many years. This is nearly as good as live.

I love how you can complete the course at your own pace. Another plus is that, as a non-English native, I can also say that everything is very comprehensible, and the tips stay valid in other languages and countries.
